BRANDON FIELDS has been in practice for
over 20 years. He graduated from Brandeis University cum
laude in 1978 and received his law degree with honors from
George Washington University in 1981.
Brandon is admitted to practice in
Colorado and New York. He is an
active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
(NAELA), Colorado Bar Elder Law Section and a regular
participant in conferences and seminars on current legal
issues and solutions for families and seniors. Brandon has
represented families and seniors in many elder law, probate
and trusts and estates matters and has been appointed by the
Boulder District Court as counsel and guardian ad litem for
seniors and the disabled in
contested cases before the court.
Brandon has also practiced in the business law area for
many
years, with particular expertise in business formation,
corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions public and
private securities offerings and investment partnerships.
Brandon is active in Boulder community affairs and is:

Board Member, Boulder Cherryvale
Elder Housing, a non-profit formed to construct
senior rental housing at the Boulder Cherryvale Commons
site.

Board Member, Golden West
Foundation, a foundation to support residents of a
moderate income senior community and assisted living in
Boulder.

Member Clinical Ethics Committee at Boulder Community
Hospital,
a major hospital serving the Boulder community.

Past Chairman of the Board of the People’s Clinic,
Boulder’s community health center.

Member, Boulder County Aging Services
Division, Strategic Visioning Coordinating Team. A
2005 countywide project to create guidelines to improve
the quality of life for seniors in Boulder County, long
term planning to make Boulder County "a community in
which we all age well."

Member, Boulder Countywide Leadership Council (CLC)
established under the auspices of the Aging Services
Division of Boulder County Community Services
Department. The mission of the CLC is to guide the
implementation, evaluation and updating of the
countywide strategic plan for aging well in Boulder
County.
Brandon was recently a
guest lecturer on estate
planning at Front Range Community College, Longmont,
Colorado May, 2009.
Prior to opening his own practice in Boulder, Brandon has
been a partner in the prestigious international law firm
Rogers & Wells in New York City and Washington, D.C. , and a
special counsel in the Colorado offices of the national law
firm Cooley Godward, LLP.
